30 Days of Thanksgiving #4

Today I am thankful for Target and after Halloween clearance. I had the best time today prowling the "ghostly" clearance items. WAAAHHHH!!!! I have a storage box full of fun stuff for next year. Everything was $2 or less. I LOVE A BARGAIN!! Do they have a twelve step program for "Bargain Addiction"? In my case, they probably should. HA!

Hope you voted today...if not SHAME ON YOU!!!

I'm thankful for...

...My husband. Hmmm, let me see!! He is the apple of my eye, my knight in shining armour, my peanut butter and jelly. HA!! Okay, seriously...he is truly the love of my life though. He never fails to amaze me. He loves me unconditionally and I do him. We are not perfect in any way, shape or form at this whole marriage thing. We have our ups and downs as any marriage does. Thank God there are more ups than downs though. But one thing I can say is that no matter how difficult a time can be, whether it be between us or about something outside of us he is my ROCK. I am the worrier, he is the passive one. Isn't it funny how the very things that can drive you crazy about someone are the very things that keep you coming back for more. Bo has a lot of hobbies (hunting, racing, piloting) and he is very passionate about them. A lot of people think I am crazy for putting up with him and his hobbies because they do take up a lot of his time. But, although I may complain on occasion, I am thankful he has a passion to enjoy life. I did not marry him to make him miserable, but to make him better at whatever he chooses to do. Bo is a great Daddy...he is a big teddy bear when it comes to the girls. They love him dearly as well and I enjoy experiencing their love story with their daddy. I pray when they get older they have a profound sense of security in their daddy. I want them to be able to go to him for anything and I think they will. Heck... they already do...they know who to go to for the things that Mom will probably say no to. HA!

We saw the movie "FIREPROOF" together today. I'm sure it was not his choice of movie, but he let me pick...Thank you Lord. If you have not seen this movie, I strongly recommend it. This movie reminded us where we don't want our marriage to ever go. It also reminded us that we do have unconditional love for one another and that we can concur anything we face together.

Thank you Lord for my husband... I love him like crazy and look forward to growing old with him.

So...be careful baby as you have to be here for a veeeerrrryyy long time.

Thirty days of Thanksgiving #2

Thanks to Daphne...a new friend via Blogville...I now have a tag for the Thanksgiving Challenge. If you are joining me in the Thanksgiving Challenge to name thirty things you are thankful for in thirty days, feel free to copy and past the tag and use it in your blogs.
Today, I am thankful for Sunday afternoon naps. Oh how luxurious they can be. I know Emily will get me for posting this pic, but I couldn't help myself. I love those two little girls and love that they love each other. Don't get me wrong, they have there moments. However, Brooke loves her "Sissy" dearly and Emily is becoming more and more protective of her.

30 days of Thanksgiving...

Today is the first day of November and the first day of the Thanksgiving challenge. Today I spent the day with my girls. We slept until 10:00 am. Can you believe it...I don't think I have done that since college? We went to Target and Walmart for the after Halloween markdowns and then grocery shopping. I met Bo when he got off work to pass off Brooke to him. Emily and I went with a friend to "Judgement House" at a local church. It was awesome. I was truly moved by the production. Thus for my first day of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for Jesus Christ. I do not know how someone who does not know him can get through this crazy life. I find myself falling before him more and more. He is amazing. If you do not know him I encourage you to find someone, or just ask me, to fill you in on how you can know him. Your life will be changed. No doubt about it. You don't have to be and won't ever be perfect. That is the beauty of his mercy and grace. He loves us no matter what. He just wants us to come to him no matter what. It's just that easy.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

TRUNK or TREAT last night at church was a blast. The girls had an awesome time. Brooke played in the inflatable maze for the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth time (do you get the picture). She loved it. Emily had a great time with her friends, although she would circle every now and then and hang out with us a bit. I don't know what I am going to do when the day comes that she no longer wants to hang out with her mommy at all. For those of you who don't know, our church is huge, parking lot full of people at an event like this. You could lose a kid easily. I let Emily go run around away from us with her friends for the first time...felt really weird. I was nervous the whole time. But she had a blast.

I hope you all have a great time with your family tonight...BOO!!

Good food, good friends...

Last night Bo and I went to dinner with a few very close, dear friends. It was so nice to be able to let my hair down. These are the kind of friends that it does not matter if you eat chicken with your fingers and not a fork in front of them. It doesn't even matter if that chicken is Buffalo wings and you don't wipe your fingers until your done. HA! Your hair or clothes don't have to be perfect, they just want you there. Being ourselves, laughing, joking with and about each other, and a lot of talk of much about nothing. AAAAAAHHHHH!!! We had a great time.

Emily Brooke and Nanny had a great time too. Evident by my house...it's a wreck. Oh well, the weekend is coming. WOOHOO!

Have a great Thursday.

BOO...You've been Booed!!

Halloween has been fun this year. Brooke is going to be a Poodle...Fe Fe. Emily is going to be Kelly Pickler. She says Brooke is going to be her pooch. HA! She wants to put her on a leash. Yeah...we'll see how long that lasts. I have a feeling Brooke is not going to go for that and she usually wins. Last night we went with a few friends to a place called Wells West. They have the neatest train ride there. They had a Haunted Train Ride. It was great. We all got to pick out pumpkins and decorate them. Hot chocolate and cookies at the end of our ride was YUMMY. Or so I was told. If you read my previous post you'll know why I had NONE. This stinks!! Will try to post pics soon.

Emily and I had a little fun this evening taking "You've been Booed" baggies to her friends around the island. Halloween just would not be Halloween without the classic set of vampire teeth. Now all our little friends can sport a pair of their own. HA!

Happy Halloweeny!!
